Is it smart to buy 3 and pay for 2?

7 December, 2018 by admin

How many clothing items do you have in your wardrobe that you do not use? How many clothing pieces did you buy while thinking were unnecessary or “bad” purchases? Could you do something differently?

Did you know that we make twice as much clothing in the world today as we did 15 years ago? At the same time, we use only 1/3 of all our clothes on average—time to rethink.

HOW MANY OF YOUR CLOTHING ITEMS DO YOU WEAR?

Research shows we nowadays use a garment on average 36% less than 15 years ago. Also, did you know that greenhouse gas emissions from global textile production are 1.2 billion tons annually? That is more than the total emissions of all air traffic and all traffic at sea. Crazy!

INVEST IN A FEW HIGH QUALITY FAVORITE GARMENTS

Tip: Take a small step for our planet Earth. Instead of “buy three, pay for two”, – invest in a few favourite garments made of kind materials. Then, you make a significant effort.
Kind materials: Organically produced cotton, wool, lyocell and viscose.
