
Many fungi, which we call dye fungi, can be used to dye fabrics or yarn. Examples include the Blue Pinkgill mushroom(New Zealand), which gives a blue shade, or the Surprise Webcap mushroom, which yields a red hue, depending on pre and post-treatment of the textile or yarn.
